Nanchung Day 4

Today was a very rainy day. Lydia and I spent the day in the room. She is beginning to "wake up." She has a sweet disposition and has yet to actually cry when she is hungry. She just waits on me to pad around the room getting things together and mix her bottle. We are left to guess that she has learned in the past that crying didn't help, so a quiet patience was learned. She is such a sweetheart! Daddy got to visit the Ten Wang Pavilion in the rain! Then he was taken by our guide to a "reputable" masage salon. He got the 1 hour work over and has returned refreshed. All for the bargain price of about $12. Lydia continues to have congestion in her head and chest and Sally (guide) was able to obtain American antibiotics for us. We love her very much. She speaks excellent English and has seen to our every need. Although most of todays photos speak for themselves, the photo of the clothes is what she was wearing when we got her. It was not all that cold, but she was bundled like an Eskimo. The pants are split pants. The city photo is the view from our window. As I type this post Lydia is playing on the floor with Daddy. She is sitting up for longer periods of time and is scooting across the floor laying on her back and pushing herself with her feet. We feel so blessed have this sweet baby girl. At nearly 44 for both of us it has taken some getting used to, but we wouldn't change it for anything in the world. Tomorrow we are off to Guangzhou, the las leg of this journey on this side of the world. Thanks again for the the e-mails, posts...etc. It means so much to hear from you while we are so far from home. Pray for us as we travel tomorrow. We are praying for all of you.

Cindy,
I eagerly await each update. My goodness, Molly was the same way. She also had a cold and it took several days to get over it. And, she was used to not crying. But, that changed right quickly when she realized that crying would get her something. lol. Now she knows how to cry very well, but she is having to learn it is not going to get her what she wants this time! hehe

We have you in our prayers. Enjoy guanzho. That's where the real shopping is. Can't wait to see you guys.

Keep the posts coming.
FAM!

I wish I could get a $12.00 massage! Makes me just want to make a trip to China for one! :)

I hope your first plane ride with Lydia goes well, it may be a little hint as to what to expect on the long ride home! Once you get to Guangzhou I think you will enjoy the warmner weather that is conducive to getting outdoors and like our other sister said, "that's where the real shopping is."

The best is yet to come!

She is precious. Can't wait until we get to see her in person.
Do ya'll get to keep her clothes she came in? Shopping for a little girl is so much fun. It will feel like your shopping for Josie and Emilie all over again.
Mark you might as well hand over your wallet to Cindy now or will it be the other way around. Cindy you might need to hold onto Mark's wallet for him.
Love ya'll.

Hey Guys.... It's so enjoyable reading your posts everyday.
Lydia sure is a super star! She is soooo cute and I do love the bow too!
Glad you are on your way to Guanzho. I know you'll visit Lucy's for some food that's a little more American tasting.
Have fun shopping and enjoying the city. Will you stay at White Swan?
We continue to think of you guys and pray for you every day.
Give Lydia hugs from us!
Love, The Knapps
